The Total Engineering segment is involved in the planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning services of machinery, facilities and plants for petroleum, petroleum refining, petrochemicals, gas, liquefied natural gas, etc. The Functional Materials Manufacturing segment manufacture and distributes products in catalyst, nanoparticle technology, hygiene and safety, electronic materials, and high-performance ceramic, and next generation energy sectors, as well as consulting, real estate management, and water desalination, as well as sells oil and gas. The company serves globally. Incorporated in 1928 and headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, JGC was formerly known as JGC Corporation before rebranding in October 2019.
