Its portfolio also includes consumer products, such as PE lamination films, biaxially oriented polypropylene, cast polypropylene, metallized, general, barrier, and printed films, and wicket bags, polyurethane adhesives, multi-layered FPP solutions, and fully compostable bio polybutylene succinate products.

Incorporated in 1968 and headquartered in Shah Alam, Malaysia, Scientex Berhad was formerly known as Scientex Incorporated Bhd before rebranding in March 2008.
