Its portfolio also includes adhesive tapes, coated separators, optical components, semiconductor-related embedded systems, and optical components, LED headlamp lenses, in-car camera lens units, consumer products, health and beauty care products, hydraulic tools, electroforming and precision components.
The company has a strategic collaboration with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency for the development of solid-state battery technology for use in satellites. Incorporated in 1947 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Maxell was formerly known as Maxell Holdings, Ltd. before rebranding in October 2021.
