The Commercial Banking Business segment provides current and time deposits, as well as negotiable certificates of deposit. Its portfolio also includes personal and SME loans, and securities investment and foreign exchange services. The Leasing Business segment consists of leasing business. The Credit Card and Credit Guarantee Business segment comprises credit card and guarantee business.
It also trades in securities, as well as offers investment fund management, renewable energy-related business, consulting, and regional economic survey services. Incorporated in 1932 and headquartered in Morioka, Japan, The Bank of Iwate was formerly known as Iwate Shokusan Bank before rebranding in 1960.
