Aker BP provides the exploration, field development, and production of oil and gas on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. It operates field centers, including Valhall, Ula, Edvard Grieg/Ivar Aasen, Alvheim, and Skarv. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Lysaker, Norway, Aker BP was formerly known as Det norske oljeselskap ASA before rebranding in October 2016.
