Cynata Therapeutics provides the development and commercialization of proprietary induced pluripotent stem cell and mesenchymal stem cell technology under the Cymerus brand for human therapeutic use in Australia.
The company's lead therapeutic product candidate is CYP-001, which has completed Phase 2 clinical trial for the treatment of graft versus host disease. It is also involved in the development of CYP-004, which is in Phase 3 clinical trial used for the treatment of osteoarthritis.
Its portfolio also includes CYP-006TK, a novel polymercoated silicon wound dressing for diabetic wounds, and Diabetic Foot Ulcer which has completed phase 1 trial for the treatment of non-healing wounds on the feet/lower limbs.
It also develops Cohort 1 which has completed Phase 1/2 for the treatment of kidney transplant. Cynata Therapeutics Limited has a license arrangement with Fujifilm corporation.
Formerly known as Eco Quest Limited, the company rebranded as Cynata Therapeutics Limited in October 2013. Cynata Therapeutics Limited was incorporated in 2003 and is based in Cremorne, Australia.
