It also operates a fiber optic network; and provides multimedia communication services (SCM) and conditional access service (SeAC) Oi Solutions, which includes business solutions for its medium-sized and large corporate customers to digital and IT services
Legacy services, which include telecommunications services related to copper technology and regulated wholesale services. Founded in 1998 and based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Oi was formerly known as Brasil Telecom S.A. before rebranding in February 2012.
