Sociedad Punta del Cobre provides the development and exploitation of mineral resources primarily in the Atacama Region. It primarily explores for copper, gold, and silver concentrates. The company holds interest in the Punta del Cobre mine, the Manto de Cobre mine and the Granate mine, San Jose, and Biocobre mines located in the Atacama Region.

It also holds a 100% interest in the El Espino project located in Coquimbo region; and the Tovaku mining project located in Antofagasta region. Incorporated in 1989, Sociedad Punta del Cobre is headquartered in Copiapó, Chile.
